Searching for a wiki software

Looking for a wiki software to set up a site for managing my bioinformatic protocols and totally puzzled by the amazing array of possible choices. So far Dokuwiki seems to be great for my need, but then MoinMoin looks pretty good too. The problem is that I don't want to spend too much time and energy on trying them all out. What to do, what to do...

We've had good success with MediaWiki for the FAQ at ninja250.org.

Hi Payne,

Thanks for the suggestion. I like MediaWiki but thought that it'll be an overkill for my purposes.
I decided to try out Dokuwiki because of its simplicity. It uses plain text files for the data backend so it is pretty easy to setup and do backup. The whole thing from downloading the source code to get it up and running took ~5 mins. So far I'm pretty happy with it.
